Jerry is an accomplished CEO with over thirty-five years of experience in non-profit trade and professional association management. He has extensive experience in board management, financial benchmarking, cash flow monitoring, staff and leadership training development, goal accomplishment through strategic and operational plan development and accountability, fundraising, sales and marketing management, new business model design, development and implementation as well as advocacy.
As CEO of both the DHI Door Security + Safety Professionals and the Door Security & Safety Foundation, he not only successfully managed and led the strategic direction of the two organizations contemporaneously, but he also wrote (published over 200 articles) and lectured extensively on small business management topics, developed extensive industry workshops, delivered extensive research projects and promoted the industry. Prior to joining DHI he was Regional Director of Sales for the Fairmont Hotel Company, worked for a leasing company and bank.

He has an undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Maryland. He earned the Certified Association Executive Not for Profit Certification and he has completed numerous leadership training programs.
